Choose the bikini that suits you best: swimwear for each type of body

Choosing a bikini can be a tough task. There are many forms but that does not mean that you have to try them all. For each type of woman there is a type of bikini that suits her De Ella. With our advice you will be able to discard those that do not favor you on the hanger and you will see how you find your ideal bikini with much less work.

Swimwear for different body types

  • If you have a well-balanced body, in this case, anything you wear will suit you, trikinis included. Our recommendation is that, if you dare with the tribune, you combine it with some other swimsuit to avoid marks.
  • If you have a wide hip or thick thighs, your main objective is to divert your gaze from that point. To do this, avoid swimsuits with a low hip or culottes panties, which will highlight that area more. Look for panties with a narrow band or, at most, a normal width, and that go up a little above the hips. They will lengthen and stylize the leg.
  • Neutral and dark colors are usually a good ally in these cases. Flashy prints are not recommended in swimwear unless you use them only in the area you want to highlight, in this case the chest and shoulders. Don’t even look at the bikinis and swimsuits with horizontal stripes.
  • When you have a small waist you should look that focus eyes on shoulders and hips. You can achieve this with halter neckline or strapless bikinis and with straight panties.
  • Strategically placed details also draw the eye to where we want it: a grommet on the bra or on the sides of the hips focus attention on those points.
  • Chubby women tend to have curves and rounded shapes. If you belong to this group, you should choose bikinis with slightly high panties, which will help you, hide your belly and slim your legs. There are even some with extra support for the belly, although they are not easy to find.
  • For the upper part, choose bras with a V-neckline and, if possible, with narrow straps. Wider straps make the chest bigger. Halter tops lift and center the bust, though they can be uncomfortable at the end of the day, so have a more comfortable back-up. Forget strapless tops: they won’t flatter you and they don’t hold much, so you’ll be uncomfortable.
  • The ones who have the most trouble finding a bikini are the women who would have a different chest and hip size. They are women with wide hips and little chest or they are narrow but have a large bra size. Luckily some houses have already realized that we are not made with a mold and they sell the bikini pieces separately, just like the underwear.
