The Cannes of the late 50s and early 60s became the setting and inspiration for the new Guillermina Baeza collection. The exquisite sensuality that the collection gives off joins a claim to women, an ode to femininity.
With a markedly retro spirit, the firm recovers the balconies model in bras with underwire and padding that enhance the chest as much as possible. The models with draped chests also take center stage to achieve the same objective.
The coquetry of a Brigitte Bardot who broke the mold in Cannes, is an attitude that Guillermina Baeza takes up again in her collection through suggestive shapes of her designs where she bets on the bikini without neglecting elegant swimsuits. The trichina disappears in this collection, but the culottes and the strapless do not.
Bright colors, a strong bet for the summer of 2011, appear in country flower prints. The kitchen, Vichy and madras squares take center stage in the collection in loom fabric to give the retro air that the collection evokes. Elastic organza, elastic pique-based fabrics and ottoman, both with lira, along with poplin, are the fabrics most used in next year’s proposals.
Chertier la Femme bets on elegance and comfort
With Chertier la Femme, Guillermina Baeza opts for mauves, aqua green, pink and purple on the one hand and the range of powdery colors in combination with ecru and white. She does not leave aside the always elegant black and makes a strong commitment to coral, which highlights the tone of the woman’s skin.
Pearls, bows, Richelieu embroidery on Vichy and ruffles are the details that provide the final touch of distinction, the brand’s hallmark, as well as the lira drapes that blend in with the garments and give volume.
